EAT: LOLO AND WREN, BRUNSWICK EAST

Oozy cheesy toastie coated in a fried panko crumb, PB and J pan-fried brioche, and marshmallows with a side of hot chocolate (yes, you read correctly; a side of hot chocolate) are just some of the decadent offerings that scream of winter comfort at Brunswick eatery Lolo and Wren.

Of course there are also some less naughty options for those so inclined.. but here, healthier definitely does not translate to boring. Take the Middle Eastern inspired smashed pumpkin Barushita dish for example, which was accompanied by with some crispy crunchy chickpeas for added oomph. So whether you’re in the mood for dishes filled to the brim with comfort or healthier (or perhaps both), Lolo and Wren has got you well sorted.

Crispy Croque Monsieur - with shaved leg ham, Swiss cheese, cheese+chive cream, coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, and served with homemade tomato relish.

Barushita - dukkah, smashed pumpkin, crispy chick peas, roasted cauliflower, served on multi-grain toast, chervil, fresh mint and beetroot puree.

Ain’t Just PB&J - pan-fried brioche with whipped peanut butter, homemade raspberry jam, Belgium chocolate sauce, puffed quinoa and peanut crumble crunch.
