EAT: LUCI, MELBOURNE CBD
The Hilton Hotel brand is synonymous will luxury and grandeur, and the new Hilton location in Melbourne more than meets this brief, calling the stunning space that was the 1930s Equity Chambers home. It is therefore none too surprising that contemporary Italiano eatery Luci, housed in the grand hall, also follows suit. They say not too judge a book by its cover, but first impressions land and stick as soon as you step foot into the venue, exuding old school glitz and glamour meets modern day decadence. The bar is set. It’s not too long before the first of the evening’s dishes is brought out before us and our taste buds get to enjoy Executive Chef Sam Moore’s take on some classic Italiano flavours in an elegant, Modern Australian setting.
