EAT: KOI DESSERT BAR, CHIPPENDALE NSW

The dessert creations at Sydney’s Koi Dessert Bar are nek level elaborate and gorgeous when it comes to appearance - so it’s not surprise that photos of these always find their way into my feed. As for taste - there was only one way to find out, so we pencilled in a visit during the most recent trip to Sydney. I was hoping for one of the GoT eggs (yes, these popped up on my Instagram news feed!) but these were a special they had during Easter - long gone by the time we paid them a visit in May. Our consolation prize? This delectable pistachio number - layers of complimentary flavours and textures for the taste buds to dissect with each bite, blended perfectly with swigs of green tea we drank in between. The pistachio presence was quite pronounced, so definitely recommended if you’re a pistachio fan.

Given our enjoyable tea experience, a return visit to try their other creations or high tea is definitely in the cards.
